Wharariki Beach, Farewell Spit, Golden Bay, South Island, New Zealand

Wharariki (pronounced 'fara-ree-kee') is the most enchanting and magical beach I have ever seen. It's quite a trek to get there, as the nearest town is almost an hour away and the beach is a 20 minute hike from the car park, so after waking up at 4am and journeying by car and foot for almost an hour to get there for sunrise, I decided to soak up as much of the magic as I could and I stayed for a few hours, as the light and tides changed, just taking in the soft and childlike energy on the beach and playing with my camera and the patterns of the waves.
